Former Uttarakhand CM calls Delhi election results worrisome, warns Congress

Former Uttarakhand Chief Minister Harish Rawat on Monday said the Delhi assembly election results were worrisome and urged the Congress to learn lessons to win the 2027 assembly elections in the hill state. In a post on Facebook, Rawat argued that the alliance between the Congress and the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) could have changed the direction of the results, lashing out at the Kejriwal-led party and said that if the alliance partners, especially the AAP, had not aimed to oust the Congress, a strategic alliance could have been formed between the two parties in Delhi. But Kejriwal’s arrogance did not make it possible. Our partnership broke and the AAP’s vote bank broke and this directly affected the AAP’s numbers. Taking charge, he outlined the BJP’s election strategy and said that the BJP works to win by putting in all its strength, using deceit, force and money as a war strategy. The BJP currently has two powerful campaigners in the form of the Prime Minister and the Home Minister who can crush the opposition. This is today’s BJP, which is preparing for Bihar before winning Delhi. On the contrary, there is a race of blaming each other in the alliance. Rawat also admitted that the Congress failed to increase its vote share to the expected extent. He said that the Congress could have secured 9-10 percent vote share. He advised that the Delhi Congress should work to increase the vote share to an extent so that the alliance partners start taking them seriously by the municipal elections.
