Jammu and Kashmir Lieutenant Governor calls session of Assembly on November 4 in Srinagar

Jammu and Kashmir Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha has called a session of the Assembly in Srinagar on November 4. Information regarding the session was given on Tuesday. The newly elected members of the Jammu and Kashmir Assembly were sworn in by Protem Assembly Speaker Mubarak Gul on Monday. A Raj Bhavan spokesperson said, “Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha, exercising the powers conferred on him under Section 18 and 19 of the Jammu and Kashmir Reorganization Act 2019, has summoned a session of the Assembly for the Union Territory of Jammu and Kashmir at Srinagar on Monday, November 4 at 11.30 am.” The spokesperson said that exercising the powers conferred under Rule 9 (1) of the Procedure and Conduct of Business of the Assembly, Sinha has fixed November 4 as the date for the election of the Speaker.
